Detailed Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 0
Departure from Delhi
- • The group assembles at the pickup point at 8-9 PM (Tentative), pickup point would be Kashmiri Gate metro station
- •Chandigarh Pickup is from Suhana Gurudwara or Sector 43 - ISBT (Tentative).
- •Overnight Journey.
Day 1
Shimla to Chitkul/Sangla
- •Reach Shimla by morning around 8 a.m
- •WINTER SPITI journey starts from Shimla
- •Long drive through the scenic beauty of Kinnaur via Narkanda and Rampur.
- •Travel along the Sutlej river till Karcham.
- •Arrive Chitkul/Sangla in the evening
- •Have your Dinner along with Bonfire Night.
- •Experience the star Gazing and Overnight stay.
Day 2
Chitkul - Sangla - Nako - Tabo
- •After early morning breakfast, you will be leaving for Tab passing through the beautiful Kinnaur Valley.
- •Chitkul is the last Indian village towards China border.
- •The road will further lead you to Nako,
- •Later, sit leisurely by the Nako Lake and witness a change in shades of the lake water as the sun sets behind the mighty mountains.
- •Take the Indo-Tibet Highway and pass through the Khab bridge that marks the confluence of Spiti and the Satluj River.
- •Enjoy 360-degree view of the mesmerising mountains.
- •Reach Tabo by evening, complete the check-in formalities and Overnight stay.
Day 3
Tabo - Dhankar Monastery - Kaza
- •Wake up early in the morning to a beautiful view of sunrise and have a healthy breakfast.
- •spend some peaceful time at the beautiful Tabo Monastery and know different stories by the Monks.
- •Hit the roads and just as you cross Sumdo you will be entering the Spiti Valley.
- •Visit the tiny hamlet of Dhankar and stop by the majestic fort monastery at Dhankar that is situated amongst the rocky spurs and is said to be 1000 years old.
- •Time to head toward the beautiful administrative town of Spiti Valley, Kaza.
- •Explore the oldest monastery of the valley in Dhankar.
- •Enter the exquisite town and stay in Kaza.
- •Overnight stay at Kaza.
Day 4
Kaza - Hikkim - Komic - Langza
- •Enjoy a hearty breakfast before you drive to some of the highest inhabited regions of the world.
- •First, you will be visiting the highest village in Asia, Komik, which literally translates to ‘eye of a snow cock’.
- •You will then proceed to Hikkim for a visit to the world’s highest post office in the world and if possible, you may even meet the postmaster and hear his stories.
- •After sending out a postcard, you will be driving to Langza, a village that is home to the ancient Lang Temple which is estimated to be around 1000 years old.
- •Overnight stay in Kaza.
Day 5
Key Monestory - Kibber - Chicham - Kaza
- •Wake up early in the morning to a beautiful view of sunrise and have a healthy breakfast.
- •After Breakfast, you will ride towards the world-famous spectacular Tibetan Buddhist Key Monastery
- •You will then go farther up the valley to the picturesque village of Kibber to treasure the expanses of beautiful landscapes and immeasurable beauty of the snow-tipped mountains.
- •Proceed towards Chicham Bridge is the highest bridge in Asia and allows you to have panoramic views.
- •Overnight stay at Kaza.
Day 6
Kaza - Giu - Kalpa
- •After a delicious breakfast, you will be retracing your path towards Kalpa in Kinnaur Valley.
- •take a detour on the right through the gate to visit the 500-550-Year-Old Mummy in the Gue Village.
- •Head over to see the beautiful Nako Top, situated by the beautiful Nako Lake.
- •Spend some time soaking in the spiritual vibes
- •Reach Kalpa by late- evening, go through some last valuable time with your new travel amigos.
- •Spend the night in the beautiful Kalpa village overlooking the Kinnaur Kailash mountains.
Day 7
Kalpa to Shimla & Depart for Delhi
- •Post breakfast at the hotel, you will head towards Shimla, known as the fruit bowl of Himachal Pradesh.
- •Visit the popular Suicide point and start your excursion back to Shimla.
- •Travel through the slithering roads following the Satluj and passing the rich Deodhar forests to reach Shimla.
- •Upon reaching Shimla rest in the comfort of modern civilization, with a bag of delightful memories and exciting stories.
- •Conclude the tour as you get dropped at Shimla Bus Stop where you will be boarding an AC Volvo Bus back to Delhi.
- •Reach Delhi next day early morning i.e., 8th Day with Unforgettable memories.
