Detailed Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1: Manali to Jobra Drive & Trek to Chika
Drive through 42 hairpin bends to Jobra. Begin gentle 2-hour trek through maple and pine forests to Chika campsite (10,100 ft).
Day 2: Chika to Balu Ka Ghera
Trek along the river bed with blooming wildflower meadows. Cross shallow streams to reach Balu Ka Ghera (11,900 ft).
Day 3: Balu Ka Ghera over Hampta Pass to Shea Goru
The pass day! Climb over rocky moraine up to Hampta Pass (14,065 ft). Marvel at Mount Indrasan. Descend to the alpine oasis of Shea Goru (12,900 ft).
Day 4: Shea Goru to Chatru & Chandratal Excursion
Trek down to Chatru. Board jeeps for an excursion to Chandratal Lake. Camp at Chatru.
Day 5: Chatru to Manali via Atal Tunnel
Drive back to Manali via Atal Tunnel. Reach Manali by 3:00 PM.
